Andrew McKown, MD


Dr. McKown joined Athens Pulmonary in 2018.  He was first in Athens attending the University of Georgia before heading north to attend Harvard Medical School.  He continued his medical training in Boston, completing his residency in Internal Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital.  He then returned south for his Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.  While at Vanderbilt, Dr. McKown had a research focus on critical care and mechanical ventilator management.  He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Diseases, and Critical Care Medicine.  His particular interests include critical care medicine, general pulmonary medicine, and bronchoscopy.
