Laura Van Patten

Laura received a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies from UNC-Greensboro in 1993. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Georgia College and State University in 1999. She started her nursing career in cardiac telemetry at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta; while working with the heart failure interdisciplinary team she completed her Masters in Nursing with a focus on Family Nurse Practitioner studies in 2008 from Kennesaw University. After working in general cardiology, cardiac research and cardiac electrophysiology for several years, Laura switched to specializing in Sleep Medicine in 2013. She joined Athens Pulmonary and Sleep in 2021. She is affiliated with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
