Christen joined Athens Pulmonary as a Nurse Practitioner in August of 2020.  She graduated from the Medical College of Georgia in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy degree.  Christen worked as a registered respiratory therapist for 6 years in the ER, ICU and NICU of Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville and University Hospital in Augusta before advancing her education and obtaining a Master of Science in Nursing degree in 2015.  As a Registered Nurse, she worked at Piedmont Athens Regional in the progressive care unit for one year and then 4 years in the cardiac ICU until graduating from Augusta University with a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree.  Christen is affiliated with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
