Replacement headgear is necessary to ensure that your PAP therapy remains effective. Over time, the headgear on your mask will stretch and the velcro will wear out. This greatly diminishes your mask's ability to maintain a good seal because your mask will not stay snug and may even come off if the velcro releases.
