Full Face Mask
FULL FACE MASK
Traditionally full face CPAP masks are designed to cover the mouth and nose of the user. A properly fitted full face mask sits from the bridge of the nose to just below the lower lip. This is the largest style of CPAP masks and ideal for those who breathe through their mouth as it prevents air from leaking through your mouth. Because full face masks deliver air to both the nose and mouth, they help prevent dryness and are, therefore, often considered more comfortable. Full face CPAP masks are also ideal for those who suffer from allergies, use high-pressure settings, or sleep on their back.
Full face masks have come a long way in the last few years, redesigned for comfort, with an expanded field of vision, all while maintaining a proper seal for effective therapy. These changes were made in an effort to promote improvements in CPAP compliance.
CPAP users who benefit from wearing a full face mask include:
- Back or side sleepers
- Mouth breathers
- CPAP users on high-pressure setting machines
- CPAP users who suffer from nasal congestion or allergies
- CPAP users with facial hair
