Narayana Gowda, MD
Dr. Gowda joined Athens Pulmonary in 2023 after completing a fellowship in Sleep Medicine at UCLA in Los Angeles, CA. He and his wife are University of Georgia graduates and are excited to return to Athens for the third time. Upon completing medical school at the American University of Antigua, he returned to Athens for residency. He stayed on at the AU/UGA Medical Partnership for an additional year as a Chief Resident Junior Faculty member before moving back to his hometown of Augusta. There, he completed his Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship at the Medical College of Georgia and served as Chief Fellow during his final year. Dr. Gowda is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine as well as board eligible in Sleep Medicine. He has active privileges at Piedmont Athens Regional, St. Mary's Hospital, and Landmark Hospital in Athens. His clinical interests include general pulmonary medicine, bronchoscopy, critical care, medical education, and sleep medicine. He is an avid golfer and loves spending time with his family.
