John Papadopoulos, MD
Dr. Papadopoulos joined Athens Pulmonary in 2023 after completing his fellowship at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine in Pennsylvania where he also served as chief fellow. He completed Internal Medicine training at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center where he stayed for an additional year as chief resident and junior faculty. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and is completing his Critical Care board certification soon. He has privileges at Piedmont Athens Regional, St. Mary’s Hospital and Landmark Hospital in Athens. His clinical interests include Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation, critical care ultrasonography, neurocritical care and medical education. Outside of medicine he enjoys cooking, gardening, playing drums and spending time with family.
